Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 1, 2025 • Version 1.0
CourseCrafter produces custom, human-reviewed study and review guides designed strictly as supplemental learning companions. We do not complete graded assignments, write papers, or provide live test-taking assistance. Customers are expected to use CourseCrafter study materials in compliance with their university's honor code and academic integrity policies.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the CourseCrafter website (the "Site"), submitting course materials, or purchasing a study guide product, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use our services.
2. Nature of the Service
CourseCrafter is a custom educational synthesis and document generation service. Upon receiving customer order details and uploaded course materials (such as syllabi, lecture slides, and practice problems), our editorial workflow synthesizes the material into a tailored, course-aligned study dossier in digital PDF format.
3. Production Timelines & Turnaround
We offer three service levels for order completion:
- Standard: Delivered within 48 hours of confirmed payment and file intake.
- 24-hour Express: Delivered within 24 hours of confirmed payment and file intake.
- 12-hour Expedited: Delivered within 12 hours of confirmed payment and file intake.
The turnaround clock begins when both valid payment is verified and sufficient course materials (minimally a readable syllabus and exam scope) have been received. If uploaded files are corrupted or missing critical details, our team will request clarification, during which the turnaround clock is paused.
4. User Responsibilities & File Submission
You represent and warrant that:
- You are a legitimately enrolled student, educator, or authorized study companion for the submitted course.
- You have the right to possess and upload the course syllabus, lecture slides, and notes for your personal study use.
- You will not use our study guides to commit academic dishonesty or violate your university's code of conduct.
5. Intellectual Property & Deliverables
Upon full payment, CourseCrafter grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view, print, and use the delivered study guide PDF for your individual educational review. You agree not to resell, distribute publicly, or commercialize the delivered study guide.
CourseCrafter retains all rights to the underlying templates, pedagogical architectures, formatting layouts, and proprietary synthesis software.
6. Refunds, Corrections, and Quality Assurance
- Unsupported Course Materials: If we determine that your course materials are insufficient or in an unsupported technical format, we will notify you and issue a 100% full refund immediately.
- Scope Corrections: If your finished guide fails to include a syllabus module or topic specified in your initial order scope, we will provide an expedited corrective addendum at zero additional cost.
- Custom Production Nature: Because each guide is a bespoke, human-produced digital creation, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis once production has commenced.
7. Disclaimer of University Affiliation
CourseCrafter is an independent commercial service. Any references to universities (such as Georgetown University), course codes (e.g., ECON-001), or published textbooks are made solely to identify the scope of curricular coverage. No affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship by any institution is implied.
8. Limitation of Liability
CourseCrafter provides study guides on an "as-is" basis as educational aids. While we employ rigorous human-in-the-loop review, CourseCrafter makes no guarantees of specific exam scores or course grades. In no event shall CourseCrafter's liability exceed the total fee paid for the specific order.
